HOW TO PROTECT YOURSELF FROM THE 2019-NCOV?

Today let’s talk about the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) in China currently. As of 13 February 2020, 2019-nCoV has been reported in 25 countries across 4 continents and >59,000 cases have been confirmed.

As you know the 2019 novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) has spread rapidly since its recent identification in patients with severe pneumonia in Wuhan, China. And this Virus had been declaration the 2019-nCoV as the Public Health Emergency of International Concern(PHEIC) by WHO on 30 January.

Also due to the serious 2019-nCoV outbreak in China,  almost all the factories and courier decide to postpone resuming work as normal for a week or two for safety. Thank you for all our customers support and understanding.

Many people are worried about it during the outbreak. Here are some simple everyday preventive actions to help prevent the spread of respiratory viruses.

These include:
• Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
• Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with
unwashed hands.
• Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20
seconds. Use an alcohol-based hand sanitizer that contains
at least 60% alcohol if soap and water are not available. (P.S. Be careful to use alcohol, it’s easy to fire. )

Q: If you are sick, to keep from spreading respiratory illness to others, you should:

• Stay home when you are sick.
• Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the
tissue in the trash.
• Clean and disinfect frequently

Q: How does the virus spread?

A:  The new coronavirus is a respiratory virus which spreads primarily through contact with an infected person through respiratory droplets generated when a person, for example, coughs or sneezes, or through droplets of saliva or discharge from the nose. It is important that everyone practice good respiratory hygiene. For example, sneeze or cough into a flexed elbow, or use a tissue and discard it immediately into a closed bin.  It is also very important for people to wash their hands regularly with either alcohol-based hand rub or soap and water. So please wear a medical mask can help limit the spread of some respiratory disease.

Q: What are the symptoms of 2019-nCoV?

A: Patients with 2019-nCoV have reportedly had mild to severe respiratory illness with symptoms of
• fever
• cough
• shortness of breath

Q: Is it safe to receive a letter or a package from China?

A: Yes, it’s safe. Currently there is no evidence to support transmission of 2019-nCoV associated with imported goods.
